Procedure
- Applying via the "Etudes en France" platform
- Bachelor and Master 2 application:
The Etudes en France platform is an entirely online platform that enables you to complete all application and registration procedures after admission to a higher education establishment, up to the visa application.
Step 1: Submit your application on the Études en France platform
Application deadlines vary from embassy to embassy.
Step 2: Pre-selection
Students whose applications are accepted by Grenoble IAE - INP receive a message in mid-March to submit their application on eCandidat.
Step 3: Eligibility Confirmation
If you are eligible, you must submit an application on eCandidat during the first week of April.
Step 4: Selection Interview
A personal interview will be conducted in April.
Step 5: Admission Results
Admission results will be available on the Études en France and eCandidat platforms at the end of April.
If you receive a positive admission result, you may start the process of obtaining a student visa from the French Consulate in your country of residence. - Applying via the "e-candidat" platform

How to apply?
Log on to the eCandidat platform
This platform enables you to enter your personal details with a valid e-mail address, to choose the programs you wish to apply for, and to create and track your application.
You can apply for a maximum of 4 programs throughout the Université Grenoble Alpes.
1. Create an eCandidat file:
a- First-time enrolment at Grenoble Alpes University: you have to create a new application file.
b- already a student at INP and/or UGA : enter your INE number.
2. Fill in your personal details: surname, first name, date of birth, etc.
3. Enter your curriculum, internships and professional experience.
4. Choose the program(s) you wish to apply for (4 maximum).
5. Download the supporting documents required for each program, to be sent to the admission panel. No paper applications will be considered.
6. Remember to scan the documents by heading. For example, scan n°1 will contain all diplomas, scan n°2 all post-bac transcripts etc…
7. Check the eCandidat site and your e-mail regularly to see how your application is progressing.
If you have been accepted into a program, please be sure to confirm your acceptance or withdrawal before the deadline.
Understanding how your application is processed:- En attente / On standby: The application has not been yet received by the university – the application has not been sent/validated by the student/candidate.
- Receptionné / Receipt: The candidate has uploaded his/her documents and clicked on the "send my application" button;
- Incomplet / Incomplete: The application has been received, but is incomplete. Consult your application file to see the list of missing documents.
- Complet / Complete: The application has been received as complete and will now be examined by the admission panel.
- Présélection / Pre-selection: you are admitted to the pre-selection tests (interview).
- Favorable: you are admitted to the program. You must confirm your wish to enroll before the date indicated on your admission letter. Welcome!
- Liste d’attente / Waiting list: You have been added to the waiting list. You will be informed as soon as you can be offered admission.
- Défavorable / Unfavorable: you have not been admitted.
Enrolment
The enrolment procedure will be coummicated via email in June.
Language proficiency
Pre-requisites in English and French are required depending on the study mode and the main teaching language of the chosen program.Find below the levels required for each of these languages, the tests recognized by Grenoble IAE - INP, and the conditions for exemption.
These criteria apply to degree seeking students. If you are an exchange student, please refer to the dedicated page.
- French level

A minimum B2 level in French is required for all international students applying for a program taught in French. No minimum level in French is required for students applying for a program taught in English. Details regarding the programs involved, required certificates, and cases of exemption can be found on the French test page.
