Grenoble IAE - INP

Grenoble IAE - INP is a Graduate School of Management that trains and supports specialist managers. To achieve this, IAE focuses both on professional practices and on the production and dissemination of management research.

The school trains top-level executives, in line with the needs of the local, national and international ecosystem. One of our teaching objectives is to keep pace with changes in the job market by providing a sense of ethics and perspective.

Nearly 70 years of expertise

Grenoble IAE - INP was founded in 1956 and belongs to the IAE France network, which brings together 38 IAEs (Business Administration Institutions) in France. We were one of the first IAEs to be established.
Since 2020, we have been associated with Grenoble INP, UGA (Institut National Polytechnique). We are the only IAE in France to be attached to an engineering school.

Grenoble IAE - INP occupies a privileged position in the French management education network, combining the knowledge developed in the scientific world and practices developed in companies. Degrees such as the Master’s in Strategic Purchasing Management (DESMA), the Master’s in Research and Data Intelligence in Marketing (le Quanti) and the Master’s in Accounting, Control and Audit (CCA) have earned our school its reputation.
 

#ConnectingTalents

Grenoble IAE - INP offers government-recognised programmes from Bachelor 3 to Master 2, in both initial training and work-study courses. These programmes cover all areas of business management: purchasing, management control, accounting, finance, design, entrepreneurship, marketing, supply chain, human resources, information systems, etc.

All our programmes are aligned with the needs of companies, and therefore promote a hands-on approach through projects, long internships and work-study courses. Thanks to the innovative teaching provided by our research professors, our students are encouraged to work in small groups from different classes to prepare them for the world of work.

Thanks to IAE’s corporate relations, its large pool of external lecturers and its network of graduates, the school maintains ongoing relations with leading companies. Research workshops, professional development committees, university-business chairs, career forums (negotiation, entrepreneurship, purchasing, etc.), internship forums, conferences: There is always something going on at Grenoble IAE - INP!

Our foundation: research in management science

Grenoble IAE - INP has more than 70 research professors, two associated research laboratories (CERAG in management sciences and LIG in sociology and philosophy) and 7 research chairs.

Our approach: ongoing applied research and the desire to create a network of professionals. The dynamic work of our Management Science researchers, our partnerships with engineering schools, our initiatives to promote business start-ups and our strong flow of graduates reinforce the innovation process. Our vision of IAE: to be among the leaders in innovation and a benchmark for the advancement of management practices.

A school with an international outlook

Since 2016, all courses have adopted an international approach.

In practice, this means that:

• Every year, we welcome around one hundred foreign students from 70 different countries, representing a quarter of our student body.
• Some of our courses are taught in English, including entire Master’s programmes.
• Our courses offer a wide range of opportunities for study and gap years abroad.
• We run programmes abroad, thanks to our long tradition of cooperation with universities and business schools in many countries, including China, Brazil, Russia and Indonesia.

A desire to integrate a focus on Sustainable Development, Corporate Responsibility & Transitions into the school’s general culture

Grenoble IAE - INP fully integrates the concepts of Sustainable Development, Corporate Responsibility & Transitions. We play an active role in a number of think tanks, including the Jouzel report, the Shift Project and the IAE network. We question our own practices in teaching people how to make transitions. By questioning uses and models with a managerial and engineering vision.

Our objectives include:

• Educating students about Sustainable Development, Corporate Responsibility & Transitions and encouraging them to think critically about socioenvironmental transitions;
• Training our research professors to adapt course formats and content to best prepare our students for the world ahead.

In practice, we have put in place:

• Dedicated programmes: Master 2 Responsible Innovation and Master 2 Transition Design;
• Considerable expertise in these areas: Bachelor 3 Management and Master 2 Strategic Purchasing Management, Master 2 Management Control and Organisational Audit, Master 2 Consulting and Management of Information Systems, etc.;
• Dedicated courses: CSR and purchasing, CSR and accounting, CSR and marketing, designing an eco-responsible website, financial reporting and triple entry accounting, etc.;
• Integration into our events: The Week seminar, IAE Starter;
• Awareness-raising workshops: climate fresk, digital fresk, 2 tonnes workshop.

Grenoble IAE - INP offers you modern, fully-equipped buildings in Grenoble and Valence. The exceptional campus environment, in a sheltered natural setting, is ideal for all kinds of sports, including for top-level athletes. IAE’s many student associations are a vital and enriching part of daily life, both in terms of conviviality (BDE, sports, cafeteria) and skills development (Junior Entreprise).
