Who is this scholarship for?

The Eiffel scholarship - Master’s component is intended for international students who demonstrate academic excellence in their previous academic background and whose profile corresponds to the international policy of Grenoble INP Graduate schools of Engineering and Management, Université Grenoble Alpes.

Amount of the scholarshp

The monthly allowance is €1,181 (€1,031 maintenance allowance and €150 monthly allowance), plus direct payment of a number of benefits (transport costs, Campus France social protection, complementary health insurance (mutuelle) and cultural activities).

The grant is awarded for a period of :

  • A maximum of 12 months for M2 students
  • A maximum of 24 months for an M1 enrolment
Eligibility conditions
  • Candidates must be of foreign nationality. Candidates with dual nationality, one of whom is French, are not eligible.
  • They must be no more than 27 years old (born after 31st March 1997) at the time of the current application campaign.
  • Students may not apply individually; only applications submitted by Grenoble INP, Institut d'Ingénierie et de Management are accepted.
  • Foreign students already receiving a grant from the French government are not eligible.
  • The application of a student whose application has not been accepted at a previous selection is not admissible, even if this application is submitted by a different institution or in a different field of study. The application of a student who has already benefited from an Eiffel scholarship at Master's level is not admissible for this same level (Master's or Doctorate).
  • Applicants currently studying in France are ineligible.
Application procedure
  • Step 1: Applicants should send their full application by e-mail to incominstudents@grenoble-iae.fr. Applications that are incomplete or late will not be reviewed.
  • Step 2: Applicants whose applications are complete and meet the requirements of the scholarship are invited to interviews with the heads of the programmes concerned. Following these interviews, the school decides whether or not to support the student's application for the Eiffel scholarship.
  • Step 3: The application is then submitted to the Grenoble National Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP) selection committee. If the application is accepted by the INP, it will then be forwarded to Campus France. The application will be filled in directly by Grenoble INP, Institut d'Ingénierie et de Management on the Campus France online platform.
Supporting documents
  • A photocopy of the passport containing the following information: surname, first name, date of birth and passport number.
  • Curriculum Vitae of the candidate in French or English (1 to 2 pages) giving details of the candidate's achievements.
  • Diplomas: copies of the most recent diplomas obtained, indicating the date, speciality, honours and any other document attesting to the candidate's excellence (certificates of excellence, letters of recommendation, awards, etc.).
  • Attestation of rank proving the candidate's excellence (to be requested from the establishments you attended): must show class or promotion numbers.
  • Language certificate or diploma, depending on the course of study ( https://iae.grenoble-inp.fr/fr/je-candidate-je-minscris/etudiants-internationaux )
  • Transcripts of marks for the last three years showing academic achievements in France and abroad.
  • The candidate's Professional Project written in French or, failing that, in English (1 to 2 pages). Candidates should write their career plan in such a way as to explain why they chose to study in France in relation to their previous studies and their future professional career. This presentation may be supported by an opinion from a person outside the institution, for example from a company (letter of recommendation).
